My Testimony
When I was younger, my older sister wanted me to go to
church with her. I was raised Methodist and she was
attending a non-denominational church. I thought she had
lost her mind, but I could sense something there. After her
bothering me for 5 Sundays, I told all my family members that
I was going to give my life to Christ. I waited until the end of
the sermon that the Pastor was giving to talk to the pastor,
and he said "See ya on Wednesday." I looked at my sister
and said it was a test and I went to the Pastor and asked to
get saved.
Every day at ACORN is pretty much memorable, but one day
sticks out to me. One of the teachers said to herself in a low
voice "I have a headache" and one of the three year olds
heard her and put his hand on her head and asked "Do you
want me to pray for you?"
I have always worked with children in different facilities, but I
was always taught the educational part, and to never speak
about Jesus. Working here is an unending opportunity to
talk about Jesus, to pray, sing praise and worship songs, and
to minister about Jesus. I feel very blessed to be here.
