OCC Mission Statement
Some of our
Church Family
The mission of Oakridge Community Church (OCC) is to
establish a community of believers who commit together as the
Body of Christ. Our goal is to exalt the Lord Jesus, edify
believers, and evangelize those who don’t  yet know Jesus as
Lord and Savior.  We strive to accomplish this using fellowship,
prayer, teaching, ministry, worship, service, outreach, missions
and discipleship.  These efforts are made under the authority of
the Lord Jesus Christ, and the pastors whom He appoints in the
fellowship.
Oakridge Community Church
Statement of Faith
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, and authoritative Word
of God.
2. We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and
Holy Spirit
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless
life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in
His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His
personal, tangible return in power and in glory.
4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy
Spirit is absolutely essential.
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the
Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
6. We believe in the resurrection of the body of the saved and the lost; that they that
are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of
damnation
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ
Additional Core Belief for OCC
We believe that a church should be in the process of developing a Biblical
leadership team of multiple pastors who, in submission to one another, jointly lead
the church in a spirit of unity.  All matters of faith and practice relating to the church
are determined by this pastoral team.  Additional pastors can and should be raised
up from within the congregation.  Pastors meet the Biblical qualifications, have a
desire to pastor, are confirmed by the congregation, and are recognized as such
through ordination by other pastors.
